RECOUP is Margaret England's first exhibition since moving to Sydney in 2013. Margaret uses rural materials in formal aesthetic arrangements to express universal recognition. This body of work continues themes explored in her 2011 Masters of Arts Practice exhibition  "Shed"  at Albury Regional Gallery. The title,"Recoup", refers to the technique of recutting and assembling found timbers, tin, furniture etc. So for instance ,"Shimmer" is composed of lattice undone and remade. "Untitled" is from old shingles. 
The title also alludes to the recuperative value of art, making up for one's losses.
